Error calling a searchlist group

I am calling a searchlist from the finished event of a wizard using ShowSearch. I get an error “Index was outside the bounds of the array” although it subsequently loads and seems to work OK.

"I think I've spotted the problem, code on the searchlist attempts on ItemClick to get the value of an entry in the searchlist, this fires when it loads but there are no rows. I still need to look at this further to understand why it works fine when the searchlist is used on a screen rather than opened with ShowSearch().
