Quick Search on a searchlist

I've created an admin searchlist displaying all Matters. I have added the fileID column into the searchlist, and also set the incQuickSearch property to true for the fileid column. Even though this is set to true when I use the quick search bar it ignores the FileID.
Am I doing anything wrong? How do I get the quick search to use the FileID?..."

Quick search only applies to columns that have a text data type.
You can change the type in the sql in the databuilder with convert(nvarchar(12),fileid)
