Appointments for fee earners only
Wed 12 Feb 2020 - 8:01
The system appears to only support appointments being assigned to a fee earner.
Our users would like to add appointments and assign them to users that are not fee earners. Is this possible?

There is no reason why you can't assign to users you can change the catalyst from a fee earner to user datalist

Thanks, but the feeusrID in the dbAppointments table is not nullable and has a reference constraint to dbFeeEarner.

I didn't look at the table, just looked very quickly at the source code, I would say it should be ok to work if you were to remove the constraint and added the UsrID as the link should work fine. I haven't tested it but can't see why it wouldn't work.

Are you aware if this could impact the FWBS OMS exchange sync?

To be honest without reviewing the code I would think this is using the FeeEarner object. User is the base object so is also possible it may work. I don't at this time have the ability to confirm this but am sure you could trial this and it will stand out quite quickly if you try with a non constrained FK to Fee Earner. Sorry not able to confirm more at this time.
