Combobox Filtering - Not Working On Edit

Hello all,

I have set up combobox filtering - one box filtering the contents of another - as per the manuals and it is working when adding a record. When opening the wizard to edit the value of the second combobox does not get set to that which is stored, but to the value at the top of the list (even thought other controls on the page open fine).

Has anybody encountered this before?

Have you set the DefaultValue of the second combo to %%

That was weird my “%%” disappeared into XML

it's %fieldname% but replace fieldname with the name of the field the combo is linked to or make sure the combo is mapped to the right data source

Have you tried refreshing the search list from the ActiveChanged event of the combobox?

Hi Gareth, Can you check the creation order of the combo boxes. The combo that is being filtered should have a higher creation order than the controlling combo. Regards Richard
