MilestoneTask Groups Empty MilestoneTask Groups

We have a requirement to sort tasks in a searchlist by 'Type'. For example all the tasks related to Fraud should be filtered by a groupID. I see that there is a TaskGroup property to the milestone tasks, but I'm not sure how it is used or if I can use this property. I changed the text from nothing to “INSFRAUD” for the fraud tasks, but then when these dynamic tasks were added they had no associated actions even though the task did have actions. Do you have any documentation for TaskGroups/another suggestion on how to achieve this requirement?
